What Do I Do When I'm Upset
I was really upset today for some reason, but now I am no
more upset. And by looking at the caption you might have the idea now that
what I am going to write today. Yes, I would like to share those weirdest things
that I do when I’m upset. Also you will read that how did I throw my today’s
sadness far away.
1). Most of the time, when I’m upset. My brain starts to
hurt because of over-thinking. So, the only remedy I find is to sleep.
Hmm… Must be thinking that what if the moodiness comes at
the time which is in appropriate for sleeping, then?
2). I go and take a walk to the kitchen and search for the
food that makes me feel good. I enjoy the every bit of my little meal. It
relaxes my thoughts.
3). Probably, this is only temporary and thoughts come back.
So, I challenge myself. It means I do something which I am not used to doing.
For example, I love listening music, writing and reading. So, I always try
something new and different, whenever I'm upset.
REASON: When you’re
depressed, your thoughts wander around what makes you depressed and won’t leave
you at peace at all. If you do the things you love to do, that might help you
forget your worries but for a while. The thoughts will come back once you
finish. It won’t change anything.
When I’m upset and I want to overcome those dark feelings.
Not hide from them or vainly attain to escape. I want to exterminate them!
So, today when I was upset, I decided to challenge myself to
do something different. I buy a henna cone and started applying on my hand. I
have never been interested in applying henna by myself. I always want somebody
to apply henna on my hand because I’m not so good at it. But today I did a
really good job and my depressive state totally disappeared. I was so proud of
myself.
4). If incase I’m not in mood to challenge myself then, I
watch a movie that never gets out of date or which has own many award or any
movie which I personally find an epic. I barely watch movies.
5). If I’m not in mood to watch any movie then I grab
someone, ( a maid, coworker or a colleague). And asks his/her life story. I
feel way better than before. Of course, there are people that have much more
serious problems than us.
6). Now after all/most of the above steps, I then feel
myself in a calmer state of depression. If I still ever upset then I help those
who are in worse situation than me. And after that I’m no longer upset.
Whenever you’re upset, try those steps, it will definitely
help you to get rid of your sadness.
And remember one thing always:
“You’re prettier when
you are happy. Don’t waste your time being upset.”
