A Galentine's Day I'll Always Remember

Last year, I celebrated Galentine's Day with my daughter.
No fancy plans. No reservations. Just us.
We took our old white shirts and fabric-painted them.
Mine said queen bee, hers said mini bee.
We lit scented candles, set up snacks and hot cocoa, scattered a few nail paints around, and placed two pink roses for each of us on the table.
We painted each other's nails.
We laughed.
We watched a girly movie, wrapped in comfort and warmth.
Growing up, I never celebrated Valentine's Day.
No flowers, no rituals, no moments like this.
But with my daughter, I realized.....
I'm not just creating memories for her...
I'm gently healing my younger self too.
Through her, I get to live the softness I once missed.
I get to celebrate love in its purest form.
I get to fulfill her dreams and the little girl inside me, too.
She still reminisces about that day.
And it makes me wonder
what should we do this year to make it just as magical?
So tell me
How should we celebrate Galentine's this year?
And who would you choose to celebrate your Galentine's with?
I'd love to hear your ideas 🤍
